Excelsior FC Premier Announces Open Soccer Tryouts for 2013/14 Season

SCHENECTADY, N.Y., May 31, 2013—Excelsior FC Premier (EFC), a Northeast premier soccer club based in the Capital Region, will hold BOYS open tryouts for the 2013/14 season on the following dates:

BOYS OPEN TRYOUT DATES:

Friday, June 21, 2013
U9, U10, U11 – 5:00-6:00 p.m.
U12, U13, U14 – 6:00–7:00 p.m.
U15, U16, U17 – 7:00-8:00 p.m.

Wednesday, June 26, 2013
U9, U10, U11 – 5:00-6:00 p.m.
U12, U13, U14 – 6:00–7:00 p.m.
U15, U16, U17 – 7:00-8:00 p.m.

Tuesday, July 16, 2013
U9, U10, U11 – 5:00-6:00 p.m.

All tryouts will be held at the LakeRidge Farms Soccer Complex, 960 New York Rt. 50, Ballston Lake, NY.

EFC, founded in 2012, is a member of the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) and the Capital District Youth Soccer League (CDYSL). EFC teams primarily compete at the Division 1 level and in the first year have placed in tournaments including the Jim Slater Memorial Tournament (U-12 Champions) in Poughkeepsie, NY, the Showdown at the Border in Canaan, NY, and the Mountain Mayhem Tournament in Queensbury, NY. In addition, an EFC player was selected to the Eastern NY Olympic Development Team.

Excelsior FC Premier (EFC), a premier soccer club of Northeast New York based in the Capital Region, was founded in 2012 by Ahmad Manning, who is the former assistant coach for Siena College Men's Soccer and has played on teams in Major League Soccer, French Ligue, and United Soccer Leagues. EFC’s mission is to build a strong, physical, intellectual, and technical foundation for the soccer stars of tomorrow. In the club’s first year, EFC’s Division 1 teams have placed in the Jim Slater Memorial Tournament, the Mountain Mayhem Tournament, and the Showdown at the Border, and a player was selected to the Eastern NY Olympic Development Team. EFC also is committed to offering character-building activities to our youth that promote good citizenship and healthy living, including volunteerism to help those less fortunate in the community.
